Can Pineapple Concentrate Help You Lose Weight?

pineapplesThere are so many quick fixes and miraculous remedies that say they will help you lose monumental amounts of weight, it is hard to believe anything that claims to aid in weight loss any longer.

For a while there, it was all about acai berries. Now, apparently, we are instead turning to pineapple concentrate to help us shed those bothersome pounds.

Is there any truth to this? Having never tried it, I know only what I’ve read, but before I get to sharing that, let me ask — have any of you tried pineapple concentrate to lose weight? Is it at all successful?

Purportedly, there is an enzyme in pineapples called Bromelain, which is something of a naturally occurring anti inflammatory agent. It is supposed to benefit the muscles and the skin — so we can add “miracle cellulite cure” to “weight loss cure.”

Of course, to benefit from this at all, you either have to eat eight pineapples a day or start taking a supplement.

HypothyroidismIf you are person that has been dealing with Hypothyroidism and treating it with pills, are you sick of that?  Well, there are many different people that are turning to foods for treating their Hypothyroidism rather than a lifetime of pills.  There are no easy answers for the cause of Hypothyroidism and while I do not recommend treating this particular disorder with just food, you could definitely boost up your thyroid with some food.

For example, the oil from coconuts is supposed to actually product the thyroid hormone and while it has yet to be proven, it is certainly something that should help you.  Soy is actually believed to have the opposite affect, so you might want to watch that.

Finally, walnuts have been proven to truly help out with Hypothyroidism as they contain everything from calcium supplements all the way to iron.
